I've tried many cleaning products over the last couple of months in an attempt to remove a lot of mould from my bathroom tiles and shower pan but have found that none of them were actually that effective. Despite the promises from these cleaning products of powerful action and easy wipe clean, I found that a lot of elbow grease was still required and the results left a lot to be desired i.e. it didn't look much better afterwards. I was therefore really keen to see if a steam cleaner would produce any better results.
As you can see from the "before" and "after" pictures I've attached below, the results are very impressive and the previously mouldy grout between the tiles is now almost like new. It was also very easy to achieve this effect with the small round brush as the plentiful supply of steam seemed to loosen the mould and it was simply a matter of brushing it off.
The steam cleaner is very easy to operate although it probably is worth saying that because the water tank is quite small, it will only provide enough steam for about 5 minutes of continuous use. Having said that, it only takes a few seconds to refill and 3 minutes to heat up so it's not too much of an inconvenience. It also has the very real benefit of making the cleaner extremely portable, which is beneficial for getting into tight spaces.
If there was anything I would change about this cleaner, it would be the on/off switch. In order to operate the steam cleaner, you have to keep your finger on the button all the time i.e. release it and the cleaner will turn off. However, I suspect that this design may be the result of health and safety so as to ensure that you don't blast your hand with an extremely hot steam jet!
As can be seen from the main product picture, this steam cleaner comes with a wide range of accessories (the most of which can be tidied away into a supplied accessories bag) and so the cleaner is suitable for use in a wide range of activities. The attachments which I found particularly useful in my circumstances were the round brush (for scrubbing away limescale) and the power nozzle (which emits a powerful jet of steam for removing ground in dirt), however the hand nozzle (small version of the floor brush) is also very useful for cleaning small areas of floor and wall tiles.
I found the floor brush less useful, not because it didn't work that well (it did) but more due to the fact that it would ordinarily be used for large floor and wall areas and the water tank just can't provide enough steam, without constant refilling. For these kind of applications, the SC2 is likely to be a much better choice, as I believe that it has a much bigger water tank.
Overall, I believe that the SC1 is best suited for small and hard to reach areas and both of these applications are something which this cleaner performs extremely well. Definitely worthy of the 5 stars, as I hope you'll agree from my pictures below.

Having researched hundreds of steam cleaners on lists and youtube, finally came to the conclusion of picking this SC1 steam stick cleaner as the winner, and definitely haven't wasted my money, it's actually really good around the flat, can easily make light work of grease stains in the kitchen (given a little elbow grease is necessary) the floor is nice and clean while also knowing its being disinfected without chemicals is a plus. Carpet steaming does help it become a little softer but mostly for disinfecting. The steamer itself is of a good quality strong construction, certainly doesn't feel flimsy and cheap and sports a nice yellow colour. Product has a neat bag to keep your attachments together.
The only downside to this product I can see, but didn't think it would lose a star, is the fact the water tank holds only 200ml which is actually very little even though it takes less than 3 minutes to heat up, you will need to to keep refilling the steamer if you have a house or plan to steam a lot of things, for a small flat like mine it's fine, only one refill :D
