I've just used this for the first time and I have to say I'm amazed at how well it works. My previous steamer was the polti pocket and this is miles better. It heats up straight away and pumps out loads of steam without chucking out loads of water first. I used it for nearly an hour on one tank and it gave continuous steam for pretty much the whole time without losing pressure. It's comfortable to wear and the electric scrubbing tool works really well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

It is as good as cleaning with warm water.

Hard stains removed? Nope

Germs bacteria etc killed? I wouldnt bet any money on it.

Looks cool and effective with all that steam coming out, but the truth of the matter is you re just playing around with warm water.

I tested its temperature at full operation- I could easily put my hand in front of it and stand it.

Good Machine That Does the Job!

After a mind-numbing amount of research I chose this steam cleaner as it looked as though it could do all the things I wanted, was compact and was economically priced. While it's a good cleaner and heats up quickly, the two things missing are a floor steamer and a smaller paddle brush steamer--the rectangular one that can be covered with an elastic cotton cloth that's standard on a Polti. I have found with past steamers that the most useful of all the attachments, especially when it comes to cleaning upholstery, is the paddle brush steamer. The Efbe-Schott has a spot cleaner with a rotating head which is ok but a little small and slows you down when trying to clean upholstery. For spot cleaning, it's great. I've used it to clean the shower doors and was happy. I just really hate cleaning and want a cleaning lady to do it all for me. Any takers?
