    Good for maintenance not deep cleaning

    If you need deep cleaning done: venetian blinds, cooker, upholstery with ingrained marks, grimy, greasy cooker tops hoods with caked on greasy dust then this won't do the job that well. It will help loosen the dirt, certainly, but you will still need to finish the job with deep cleaning from a maid a professional call out service or your own elbow grease and scourer to do the job properly for a nice squeaky clean and grease free smooth clean finish.
    
    For lighter regular cleaning and freshening jobs it is fine. The floor mop works well on flat surfaces, and the hand held works quickly on bath tiles the bath and sink basins, kitchen work surfaces and cupboards. The direct steam shot nozzle made lighter work of defrosting my freezer too. Instead of defrosting it naturally via my usual method of using steamy bowls of boiling water and canned de-icer and shutting the freezer door to melt the ice incrementally over several hours (usually half a day at least), I used several continuous scrub-mode blasts of intense steam from the nozzle and melted or loosened the ice for rapid chipping off to complete the entire job in about 1.5 hours, which is pretty good going for a vile job I keep putting off. At least the penguins can move out now.
    
    The rule of thumb with this device, and probably any rival brand at similar price point is this: it is not a miracle worker likely to end the domestic cleaning company industry who offer professional deep cleaning specialists that can clean venetian blinds with years of dirt clinging to the slats, deep steam grimy carpets and upholstery, greasy baked on dirt in cookers etc.. It is not meant for that. But it will make lighter and speedier work of regular cleaning maintenance jobs and with the benefit of knowing you are saving money and the environment by not using chemicals.

    Worth every penny

    I did a fair amount of research before purchasing this item and set a criteria. This item met met all of the criteria and more.

    The hand-held option is great, especially for kitchen work surfaces and bathroom tiles. I have yet to use this for deep cleaning.
